There are a few gringos in the Edinburg community. That are putting pressure on Alma Garza and Gene Espinoza. They want the city of Edinburg to buy Ebony Hills Golf Course for 5.1 million dollars. Even though the city has a lease agreement for another five years.
We have also found out that First National Bank is down sizing. What does that mean? Well, I will let you answer that one. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. These people only cater to a few. And if your last name doesn't begin with a P. Or if your not an owner of a bank.Or if you don't own Rio Grande Steel. Well, then you really don't mean anything to these people.
Let's not forget that Alma and Gene voted against the tax freeze for the disabled and elderly. Let us not forget that these people hired Joseph Palacios as assistant city manager. Let us not forget that these people also hired Daniel Rios. Making 40,000 a month with no experience.
These people need to be kicked out of office. There not here to help you and me. There here to cater to the rich.
Carmen's bond election
One question that comes to mind is. Are our taxes going to go up? That is a yes or no answer. We need classrooms and more classrooms. Not 3 fine art centers for 20 million dollars. I encourage all of you to vote NO on election day. What about the 50million dollar UTPA fine arts center that Aaron Pena promised us?
Money is tight. Gas is going up. Cost of living is going up. And you want us to pass a 112 million dollar bond election. Are you out of your mind?
