To the parents of the junior high kid that got caught with a gun at school. If your son was arrested. Find out if David Torres' son was also arrested. If not! I want you all to file a multi million dollar lawsuit against the Edinburg School Dist.
The law is the law. It is there for a reason. I don't give a damn if your the pres. of the U.S Or the pres. of the school board. There is a standard. So, follow it! I too am a parent. We will be watching!
As for the edinburg city council. What can I say? It's the dumb and dumber show. On one end you got Alma Garza. The people supporting Alma are Richard Garcia, the P family, Robert Gandy, Cullen Looney, Oscar Garza and all the Garza family. All of these people are using Alma as a puppet. The rich get richer and the poor get a hell of a lot poorer.
On the other end of the dumb and dumber show. You got Mean Gene Espinoza. People supporting him are all the same as above. And also his employer Rio Grande Steel.
Look at the names that I just mentioned. And ask yourself about all the contracts these people are in. Robert Gandy-First National Bank, Oscar Garza-Los Vendados. And of course let's not forget Gene's employer in Rio Grande Steel.
Did anyone go to the meeting last night? She was up to her old tricks again. When a vote was needed. She was like let me call Nick. Or let me call Gandy. Just give me five mins.
As for Gene. He knew exactly when to raise his hand. La Sienna Dev. Hand raises! Ebony hills golf course hand raises! Rio Grande Steel hand raises, First National Bank hand raises. Give tax breaks to the middle class? No hand raise! Give tax breaks to the rich? Hand raises!
They gave La Sienna dev. money to build 200 homes. Who in the world is going to buy 200 homes? The way the economy is right now.
As for the ECISD: There calling it Carmen's bond election. Well, let's have Carmen cough up the $20,000 needed to have this thing. We are in a recession. Now, is not the time for some bond election.
Again, I'm going to ask. Where is the new $50 million dollar UTPA fine arts center? You could use this center. Instead of wasting 20 million dollars on three centers. We need class rooms.
