Alma Garza & Gene Espinoza Make History

For the first time in the history of Edinburg. A residential developer can go before the city council. And ask them for all the money up front to do the residential development. On a vote of 3-2. They are going to front La Sienna development all the money they need to make the first 200 homes north of Edinburg.

You have gas prices almost at 4 dollars a gallon. The cost of living is going through the roof. Now, Alma and Gene want to give away money before the work is even done. Here is the 1 million dollar question. Who is the world is going to buy 200 homes? When we are in a recession.

You got Carmen's bond issue coming up. Which I think is dead in the water. And now this! What in the world is going on? They have now set a standard. Any developer wanting to develop residential property. Can now go before the edinburg city council To ask for the money before the work even begins. What else can these people do?
