At tonight's city council meeting. The council will look into Richard Garcia's appointment. Will he remain on the EDC? Or will the council decide to choose someone else. A hint to the general public. If you want to serve on a board that decides where million of dollars will go.
All you got to do is contribute $1000.00 to your city council members. You see Richard Garcia gave $1000.00 to Gene Espinoza and Alma Garza. So, how in the world are these two people suppose to say NO to Richard Garcia? There are other qualified individuals that have submitted the necessary paperwork to take Richard's place. But we all know that Richard has nothing to lose. Just keep donating to these candidates. And he can basically have anything he wants.
The Palacios are out in full force. They are now paying the people that went against them in the last mayor's race. The Palacios had a get together this past weekend. The topic of conversation was: How to oust Joe Ochoa!
A word to them! Save your money. You were paying 10.00 a vote when Richard Garcia last ran. And guess what! You lost bad! What makes you think Richard can win now? We don't want to go back down memory lane. 10 million over budget on the new city hall. Helping FNB out by placing the new library at that location. To take care of a bad debt. The new police station over budget 4 million dollars. Wendy Sturgis now divorced back at being edinburg city manager. Daniel Rios making $40,000 a month with no experience what so ever. Also, a law partner for Ricky Palacios.
Speaking of Ricky. Did you know the Salinas law firm has applied for the new edinburg city attorney? Do you know who is a partner of that law firm? Just open your phone book to the yellow pages and look for the two full page ads paid by the Salinas law firm. Look at each of the 10 or so attorneys that are on there. And you will see Ricky Palacios. That's right folks! He is now a partner for the Salinas law firm.
Which means the Salinas law firm would be in a conflict of interest. Since Terry Palaicos is the judge. But who cares about conflicts of interests? Seems people now adays don't give a damn about the law.
