Before I get into my story. I would like to encourage all of you to attend tomorrow's EDC Meeting. Ramiro Garza is going to make a presentation. On why the board should vote yes on giving La Sienna Dev. a 15 million dollar tax break.
Make no mistake. The barbecues are smoking. The back door meetings are happening. Richard Garcia is running again for Mayor. His supporters are willing to put up a total of 1 Million dollars to try and oust Mr. Joe Ochoa. Let me say that again. These people are willing to put up a grand total of one million dollars on a mayors race.
Who are these supporters? The Burns family is right up there. These are the people requesting the 15 million dollar tax break. Then you got the Garza family. Then you got the Palacios family. Which they are trying to get Alma re elected. Next on the list is David Rogers from First National Bank. Next would be Robert Gandy and Cullen Looney.
The next one million dollar question would be is. Why are these people willing to spend up to one million dollars? I think we all know the answers to that question.
Alma Garza, Gene Espinoza, Noe Garza and Richard Garcia cater to the rich. That basically leaves you and me out. All I have to say is. You want some! Come get some!
If you see Alma Garza or Gene Espinoza. Ask them if they intend to spend 5.1 million dollars on buying Ebony Hills Golf Course? It seems that some people are putting pressure on these two. The city of Edinburg still has a five year lease agreement. So what in the hell is the rush?
