In regards to Carmen Gonzalez and her bond Election. The caption should read Edinburg School District Board members and their Bond Election. People!! Carmen Gonzalez is not a one woman School district board member.
What happen to the newly elected and re-elected board members. If Mrs Gonzalez is making all the decisions then why do we need the rest of the school board members. As I do know she is a previous school administrator and interim-superintendent who worked deligently in the best interest of the students, staff and community of Edinburg.
Mrs. Gonzalez is a school board member with knowledge and experience in education. Do the other school board members have the knowledge and experience that she brought to the board. As I am aware it takes the majority of votes of school board members to approve or disapprove of items such as bond elections, teacher raises etc.
Someone needs to educate themselves on school board policies. In reference to a teacher pay raise this will be the second increase that teachers receive while Mrs. Gonzalez is in office. But again it take a majority of the school board to approve a teacher pay raise. We will be supporting Mrs. Gonzalez in her up coming election. Please post this to better educated your readers. The following are our board members.
You forgot to include arrested for family violence. She is the only one on the board that has a history of this. She is a criminal. A person that was arrested. Carmen and co are the ones that want a bond election. Edinburg News feels that Nov is to short of time. Carmen wants to be the savior and pass a bond election and give a teacher a raise. Why? Cause she is coming up for re election. That is the only reason she is doing this.
Where have you been the past two years Carmen? You have sold you soul to the Palacios family. And you will do what they tell you to do. That being said. Your bond election will not pass. The only people that want this thing is Carmen and co.
Co being Omar Palacios, David Torres and Ciro Trevino. I dare you all to have a bond election. But if it doesn't pass. You are opening the door for removal of the superintendent. And we all know what type of puppet he has been.
Carmen will run because of the big ego she has. And in the end it will be know different than Melba or Martin. You are your worst enemy. Your inner circle are telling you to run. But reality is going to bite you in the butt.
You are yesterday's news. A person that will be on the board until it's time for your re election and you will lose. So make the most of your time on the school board. Cause you will never be elected again. You have showed all of us that you are a puppet for a certain family. And that family is not very liked in Edinburg. They are 0-4. You going to try for 0-5?
