After giving this all a lot of thought. I can see why Ochoa would not run for re-election. Do I think he can beat Richard Garcia? It would have been another easy victory for Ochoa. Remember, Richard was the mayor when he lost his a**.
There are no other elections going on in may. So, the Ochoa machine would have prevailed. Now, to the reason I agree with his decision?
He's going to spend thousands and thousands of dollars to get himself re elected. But he still won't have the majority. He would have won and his wings would have been clipped on making the best decisions for Edinburg. It's just not worth it!
