A lot of people are asking. Why all the sudden over budget projects? Well, it starts back when Richard "Palacios" Garcia took office. The first two years the city didn't really do anything.
It wasn't until Richard's final year. That the projects started. He figured he had to do something in order to get re elected. Instead of taking the time to review all the information. The projects began.
The new edinburg city hall over budget some 10 million dollars. It holds 70 parking spaces. When the city of edinburg has over 100 employees. Disaster #1
The new police station over budget some 4 million dollars. Disaster #2
The new edinburg public library. So people are asking. Why that location? It has to do with First National Bank. The bank had a bad loan on the property. So the loan had to get paid. Of course Richard Garcia, Gene Espinoza and Alma Garza came to the rescue. Disaster #3
The city also paid ECISD over $200,000 for people to park in the Cat stadium.
The city also bought the old ECISD administration building for $650,000.
The nation is in a recession. And these people are blowing money left and right.
Gene is now trying to take credit for the tax freeze on the disabled and the elderly. Not so fast mean Gene. You, along with Richard Garcia and Alma Garza told the elderly and disable NO!
Gene's employer Rio Grande Steel got the sub contract for the new city hall, the new police station and the new library. Someone got a big commission check. Just for sitting on the city council. I figure once Gene loses. He will be out of a job.
Just like the other candidate that lost his seat.
As for Alma Garza. She is only looking out for family. Like Oscar Garza and Los Venados. She is also looking out for the Palacios family.
The P family are pulling the strings of these two candidates. Let us not forget the hiring of Joseph Palacios, Wendy Sturgis Smith and Daniel Rios.
It's time for the taxpayers to take out the waste. It's time for change! And we badly need it.
Ready for disaster #4? Some people want the city of Edinburg to buy the ebony hills golf course for some 5 million dollars. They have been talking to Alma and Gene.
We currently have a 5 year lease on Ebony Hills. So, the question here is Why purchase it now?
Do you remember this Gene Espinoza and Alma Garza?
And in April 2005, the Edinburg City Commission voted to break their lease agreement with the Roadrunners, claiming they were owed $36,200 in back rent and maintenance fees.
The Edinburg Coyotes owe the city of Edinburg $50,000. It's time to break the lease agreement with the Coyotes.
