Election day is almost here. Are you ready to see who E-News will endorse? I was having a talk with someone I barely met at our local coffee shop. And I asked him about the presidential race.
He told me he lives paycheck to paycheck. Has a mortgage payment, car payment, credit cards and the rest of his bills. Then he told me something strange. He says he makes a 50 a month payment to Hope.
I was like what is that? He says he's been giving to the Obama campaign. And he calls it his HOPE payment. I was really struck by what he said.
That being said. We hear at E-News endorse Barack Obama for president of the the United States. I'm tired of the same old politics. I want someone new. His slogan is change. And we do need change. His slogan is about hope. And we do need hope.
Our next president should be about you and me. Not someone thats going to camp out at someone's house. And charge a heavy price to go and see them.
Ask me what accomplishments he's done in the senate? I can honestly tell you I have no idea. But we need hope and change. And it doesn't really help Hillary that she has a Republican running her campaign down here.
Dist. 40 race
This race is about the past vs the future. This race is about our dist. Yes, I know the Republicans have the majority in the house. And in order to get things done. We may have to cross that isle. But if and when we do. We better get something in return.
Aaron crossed that isle for his personal gain. He wanted to bring down a drug treatment center and he did. But he left the rest of his dist. out in the cold.
While he was voting like a Republican. He was hurting us. I have shown you his voting record. I want someone that is going to try. I want change. I am not happy with our dist. Nothing has happened in the last five years Aaron has been in office.
District 40 should be about all families. Not just a select few.
And if Eddie fails. At least the guy is trying. Aaron has never done that for us. E-News endorses Eddie Saenz. It's about helping one of your own. It's about giving our kids a better life. It's about change. It's about a new direction. It's about trying to bring bigger and better things to our dist.
Plus, the Palacios are helping Aaron Pena. That's all I have to say about that.
Democratic Chairman
I was ready to cast my vote for Dolly Elizondo. Juan Maldonado has done nothing as chairman. I was coming back from McAllen. And I noticed Richard Garcia and Terry Palacios have a huge sign for Dolly. And I thought! No, these people are going to control her. That being said! I will not vote in this race.
Constable Race
I'm staying out of it. Let you know when the field is down to two candidates.
Dist. Judge
E-News endorses Jesse Contretas. Maxeen is controlled by Noe Gonzalez. We all know about him.
JP Race
We need a full time judge. That will be there for the public. Not someone who is going to just show up half day. Also, the Palacios are supporting Charlie Espinoza. That tells you a lot. E-News endorses David Chavana. This man is a people person. And we need that when it comes to being a JP.
Am I missing anyone else? To me it's pretty simple. I'm tired of the high electric bills. I'm tired of the high college tuition. I'm tired of the same status quo. I want change. I want hope.
Can we see change out in the near future? Yes we can!

Can you see a new direction? Yes we can!
Can you see a new dist. 40? Yes we can!
Can you see a better future for your kids? Yes we can!
