The voter id bill was voted on 17 times. Sixteen of those times Aaron Pena was absent.
Aaron Pena says he's for the teachers of south texas. But then doesn't cast a vote one way or the other.
SB 9: Relating to the disclosure or dissemination of criminal history record information, child abuse investigation reports, and school district audit working papers for certain purposes, including the certification and employment of educators and other public school employees who engage in certain misconduct.
Take a look at the day he was absent
Absent
Voted
Look who voted on the same day he was absent! We elected Aaron for him to be our voice up in Austin. Then he doesn't vote. What kind of BS is that?
South Texas Mayors Back Eddie!
Eddie has now been endorsed by the mayors of every city in the district, including Edinburg Mayor Joe Ochoa, Edcouch Mayor Calin Guzman, Elsa Mayor Senovio Castillo, and La Villa Mayor Rene Castillo.
“The incumbent supports a Republican leader at the State Capitol who has been in office for nearly 40 years and still hasn’t managed to get the job done,” Mayor Leo said. “It’s time for a fresh voice and a new direction in Austin.
That’s why community leaders are uniting behind Eddie Saenz so that the rest of our South Texas delegation can have a full partner in fighting for our families and our needs.”
Mayor Flores agreed. “Eddie will put people first and politics last,” he said. “My fellow mayors and I believe that’s the kind of leadership our region needs in Austin to help deal with the challenges we face.”
