John Flores, an Albuquerque, N.M., writer who wrote a book about Freddy Gonzalez titled "When the River Dreams," said he'd called the governor's office "about 10 times" since before the bill signing to no avail.
"This has been seven months ago and the governor still doesn't want to do anything. He won't even meet with her," he said.
"She's not going to say anything bad," he said of Dolia Gonzalez. "But she's frustrated."
