It's one thing to tell a teacher what a wonderful job there doing. It's another to reward them. Aaron Pena says he's for the teachers by rewarding them a $1.25 a day pay raise. Which is totally BS.
Eddie Saenz would like to reward them in another way. You see, Eddie has said that one of the first pieces of legislation is to put the st rep. retirement pension fund and tie it in with the teachers salaries.
That means that everytime a st rep wants to bump up his/her pension they would have to raise the teachers salaries also. Right now the pension fund is tied in with the pay of dist. judges.
Aaron Pena talks the talk and has lied to all of us. With Eddie it's called action.
(EDINBURG) — Democratic Texas House challenger Eddie Saenz today said that one of his first pieces of legislation will link the future retirement benefits state legislators receive to how much classroom teachers in Texas public schools earn, saying that it is unacceptable for Texas teachers to continue to bring home less money each year than their counterparts in 32 other states, including all four of the Lone Star State’s neighbors — Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.
We don't need more of the same. We need something different. Aaron Pena has been there for five long years and has done nothing for you or me. It's time to give someone else a chance. Cause Aaron has failed us all.
All Aaron seems to care about is his own pension and what the Republicans are up to.
Aaron Pena is a confused man. He needs to stay home and take care of his family. Maybe, get some parenting classes. If Aaron Pena can't even take care of his own family. How in the world is he going to take care of dist.40? Especially the teachers!
