Edinburg news has decided to give Aaron Pena a helping hand. We will help him with his kick off speech.
Hello and thank you all for coming. My name is Aaron Pena. And I am a Democrat. I think. Well, at least here in the rio grande valley. Up in Austin I'm a Republican.
I'm running for re election because I need my retirement. Plus, it also offers health insurance to me and my family. Do you know how hard it is to get health insurance with pre existing conditions? It's almost next to impossible.
I extended my hand to the Republican Party. And they wrote me a check. We did well this session. I raised college tuition, I brought a drug abuse center to Edinburg. Man, my kids really wanted that. I brought 5 million dollars to the RAC. Well, not really but it does sound pretty good.
Tx. this past tuesday voted for a cancer research fund. Which I'm totally against. I'm sure you have noticed HB 14. It's a similar bill and I voted against it. People ask me all the time. Why I voted against it? I say the Republicans made me do it.
Your electricity bills are outrageous. But these are the same companies financing my campaign. So, please understand.
I would like to apologize to the people up in the delta area. I haven't been to see you all in nearly three years. But, I just don't have the time. Same goes for the La Joya area and Sullivan City. I have new friends now. I stand with the Republican Party.
My job as St. Rep is pretty much done. Another reason I am running is to vote for my good friend Tom Craddick for Speaker. Thank You!
